This is fascinating!!! A bit dry in parts but something that everyone must see.

The the sequel after. Look for it if you feel "compelled".

Isn't that one of the 9-11 conspiracy tin foil hat movies?

See that's my problem with it. I know people who take it as literal. I just wish people would think for themselves on occasion.

Grain of salt? So it should just dissolve away. I believe there is a lot more truth to it. But then again it is so "sensational" and "extreme". Not sure if that is the word for it. But people can scoff at it. There are always those. But if facts are used. Then perhaps it is worth a look with your foil hats off.

I found it interesting, but really discounted it once they discussed the 9-11 building 7 conspiracy. They kept showing the one side of the building, saying it was not even touched, but the other side of the building (as seen on Discovery Channel documentaries), was completely messed. Yet they kept ignoring that fact and failed to mention it. It was annoying knowing the other side of the coin, and knowing what you know from other sources, it makes it less credible.

It seemed interesting, at the least, then as soon as they mentioned a 9/11 conspiracy instantly lost all credibility with me.
Ridiculous.

No. I prefer someone to my thinking for me. Either the government or the anti-government. Whoever is loudest gets to think for me.

Do you have any reason to believe there may be truth to it? This is my main problem with goofy internet movies like Zeitgeist. They are fanciful and paranoid looks at events which require an in-depth academic knowledge in order to have an intelligent opinion.

I've watched the movie and can point out instances where they've stretched the truth, twisted things and flat out lied. I'm sure if someone was so inclined, they could debunk much more of it.

Never the less, its an interesting opinion but it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Also trying to break through barriers that have been set from the time we are born. We need to unlearn, question, and challenge. This movie does it, and in turn it is also tested as well.

While being mocked on this site for bringing information here I am learning and reading and challenging everything I see. I am also practicing and will be updating. At any rate... I need to work... I'm capturing dry material and trying to put it together to make it interesting is a challenge.

Some did:

http://www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/

I haven't read through it though because I haven't watched the whole Zeitgeist movie.. waste of time to do so really. But the site does seem well referenced and the bit of stuff I read about the history of Christianity seemed right in how it addressed the movie.

There's nothing wrong with a "question, unlearn, challenge" viewpoint, as long as whatever's being unlearned is being replaced with baloney.

There's tons of scholarly material on the origins of Christianity, history of Judaism, etc that will be far more interesting and far more accurate than this movie.

It's also crazy how the paranoid view the rest of society as sheep who aren't in their own process of "learning, questioning and challenging." I don't need crap youtube videos to experience life and to find my own way.

And be careful about challenging everything you see or know. There are basic assumptions that everyone needs to make in order to pursue knowledge in a healthy and fruitful fashion. Otherwise you descend into mental chaos and anarchy.

The only thing worse then anti-establishment, pot smoking, skinny jean wearing hippy, is their friend that believes anything they say is the truth. At least the 1st person reads for themselves.

Blargh I love counter-culture and questioning films but Zeitgeist makes me shake my head and wonder.

OMGSZ NEW WORLD ORDER?!!@$@$!

What the hell are you gonna do about it hippy? Start internet diatribes about the lizard men?

That's the thing that bothers me about this stuff. People see it, and THEY THINK ITS SUCH BIG NEWS that they make other people see it...

...and then don't do anything.

Hell, at least PRETEND you want a revolution.
