like i understand ac/dc having a whole album. they have an expansive catalog and have been huge for years. but how many times can people play spiderwebs and im just a girl before hating no doubt forever?
p.s. - something that i think belongs in the confessions thread - i don't really think gwen stefani is that attractive. she just doesn't do it for me...

I agree, there are many other bands I would rather see have a full album put out as DLC (Smashing Pumpkins, Blink 182, Our Lady Peace, etc...).
Any albums you guys would love to see?

I need a new guitar (wireless) and while I like the GH3 one the best so far, I haven't tried the RB2 one or the GH World Tour guitar.
I dont like the RB1 guitar at all; I like the spaces between the upper frets. I don't know if the new one is that style or not. I know nothing about the GHWT guitar.
Has anyone tried any of these new ones? I'm having troubles finding reviews online.

Have the Rockband 2 wireless guitars. They don't have the spaces you like, but I really like how the strummer bar feels. Otherwise, it's the same pretty much as the RB1 guitar

The fog machine has been tested. Around the 2:00 mark they actually start to use it ... it actually looks pretty hilarious.

I know my mine they didn't take my CC, I didn't even complete the process either, entered some of my info and got distracted and forgot about it, yet within a week a new one arrived.

I find sliding to frets easier with the RB guitars than the GH ones, but that's just a matter of practice and preference. I really like that the RB2 controller is much, much quieter than any other guitar controller on the market.

This is always important to me. The reason I didn't like the GH2 or GH3 guitars is the "click" that the strum bar made ... does the new GH guitar click?

Much quieter than the GH one. It's not a distinct "click", but a much softer effect. However, GH hero guitars have better whammy bars. RB guitar whammy is too soft and loose I find

Realized I mis-labeled the quiet guitar. The RB2 guitar is the quiet one. I haven't tried the GH:WT guitar.

Rock Band 2 for Wii Review (release is Dec 22nd?):
http://wii.ign.com/articles/939/939202p1.html
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Rock Band 2. When the first Rock Band hit the Wii last summer, it was a shell of its former 360 and PS3 self. Major features like World Tour mode, character customization, and downloadable content had been gutted. Well, the band has been in the studio remastering Rock Band for Wii, and the sequel more than makes up for the original's problems.
The Wii version of Rock Band 2 is feature identical to the PS3 and 360 versions. World Tour mode is here for both local and online play. The full character editor is here (except for the tattoo creator, but only sailors and ex-cons have tattoos anyway). Your band is now rendered in real-time during a performance, rather than appearing in generic video. And the online music store will go live "very shortly" after the game's release, according to Harmonix.
Rock Band 2 ships with a really good mix of 84 songs on disc and the music store will go online soon after launch. When that happens, an initial 30 tracks will be available to purchase plus you'll be able to download 20 free songs. Content will be added weekly thereafter. Eventually, according to Harmonix, the entire Rock Band back catalog will be available for Wii, which, if the company comes through, is fantastic.

Yeah - but EBGames says they didn't get it today and they have no idea when it'll come in. Futureshop.ca and Bestbuy.ca both say the 22nd so who knows.

According to the small print from Harmonix (game creator) it is being put on trucks for delivery on Dec. 18. The actual arrival in stores according to them is 5-7 days later.
Places like Amazon wont be shipping til around December 22 and they are stating it is likely not to arrive til early in January for those shoppers.
So we are still looking at a 50/50 shot that this game will hit the shelves before Christmas.
Here is an interesting link with more information....
http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/12/...ck-band-2.html
edit.. Hmm guess my link is the same as the poster above. Anyways my point still stands, game is being put on trucks destined for retailers on Dec. 18th. Consumers will see it later.
Man its frustrating that Wii owners continue to get the shaft.
