Do not send your hard drive. Console only, and make sure there are no games in the tray. Also any custom faceplates need to be removed.

			I had bought a 360 from a guy here on CP and got the RROD a week later.  I called Microsoft and luckily the console was unregistered.  Even though it was purchased by the guy originally in 2006, the 3 year warranty begins on the date of registration apparantly. 			Well it happened to me too.  Called the hotline, and despite it being an older version (no hdmi input) the guy said I'd be getting a new machine.  Had a label emailed to me, except it's UPS. 			So this is what pisses me off. 
  
I had the red ring of death.  Sent it in, 8 days later it comes back and it works fine.  Two days after that last night, I turn it on to play some 09, unreadable disc errors on all of my discs.  apparently there are only three problems with the xbox.  I have now had two of them. 
  
Funking piece of crap.
