As I understand it, you can create a Death Knight on any server that you have a lvl 55 character or above on.
And yes, Alliance is for kids.

Where abouts was that? Dabbled in WoW for a while but the grind got old. Just wasn't the replacement for NWN I was looking for.

Don't forget that you need a tank too -- back when people cared about running UBRS, Warriors were the only viable tanking class. Prot Paladins (and Feral Druids) only came into their own with the release of TBC.

Bah. I was a feral druid before TBC and did just fine... in UBRS at least. Got smacked around like a runt in everything beyond that though.
I didn't even know that Paladin's actually tanked before TBC
