Early indications are pointing towards Penn. being closer than first imagined.

Just an update that Hillary Clinton will win Pennsylvania, per CNN's projection.

CNN had a pretty convincing analysis of how Obama just didn't run up enough numbers in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. He needed a margin of over 100,000 from that area and didn't get it. That plus exit polls and they were ready to project it.

I guess even with SuperDelegate support the odds aren't good for Clinton.

IMO this only gives Hillary enough of an excuse to stay in the race a bit longer. She stands to gain what? 10-20 DVs? If that?

Unless Obama completely craps the bed from here on out.

Updated with current CNN delegate count and Pennsylvania results.
Clinton 55%
Obama 45%
Clinton gains 6 delegates on the night, cutting Obama's lead to 138.
Upcoming primaries in North Carolina (134 total delegates) and Indiana (85 total delegates) on May 6th both favour Obama in the polls. Pennsylvania has 187 total delegates.

I had no idea NC had so many votes. If SC was any indication, Obama should take it convincingly. Wow Hillary is in deeper than I thought.

Clinton warns Iran of U.S. nuclear response
Senator: ‘Massive retaliation’ for attack on Israel would likely include NATO
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24246275/
Clinton said it was vital that the United States create a new “security umbrella” to reassure Israel and its other allies in the region that they would not be threatened by Iran. She said she would tell them that “if you were the subject of an unprovoked nuclear attack by Iran, the United States, and hopefully our NATO allies, would respond to that.”
Clinton’s hinting at a nuclear option last week set off a wave of commentary in political circles that she was seeking to position herself as a hawk as the primary campaign winds toward an end. Her opponent for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, has said that he would not rule out any options if Iran were to become a nuclear power, but he has not explicitly said he would be willing use nuclear weapons.
Am I missing something here? Is this really a story? I haven't paid much attention to the bickering lately but MSNBC seems to think this is a big deal and go so far as to label Hillary Clinton a "hawk" for her stance.
Who didn't know this? Who didn't know that any President in the foreseeable future would respond militarily if Iran was to nuke anyone, let alone Israel?
The harsh cynic in me might say that they are just trying to drum up business against Iran for doing something they aren't even capable of. The less-cynic in me says they are trying to cook up a story out of nothing because things are kind of dull.

I think the "middle-fingergate" business last week corroborates this notion. They're tired of the story they've been telling for months and are looking for a way to change it.

If Iran would use nuclear weapons on the US, or US allies....even Obama would strike back accordingly.
But, I doubt that is going to happen.
Even if Iran launched against Israel.....Israel would strike back with 100 times the force. And I seriously doubt the wackos in Iran are that stupid.

Ooh, subtle.
Not nearly as good as this one though...
'Obama Osama' sign in front of church causes stir in Jonesville
Roger Byrd, pastor of Jonesville Church of God, said he posted the following message in hopes of getting people to think:
"Obama Osama
Humm
Are They Brothers"
Byrd said Monday he had no idea that his weekly message on the church billboard would cause such a ruckus.
"It is absolutely not a racist sign or a political sign," Byrd said. "It's only meant to encourage people to think about what they're doing. (Obama) said he's not (a Muslim), but that's why I asked the question. I would put the same sign up if he were a white man.

*thud*
Never saw that coming.
I'm still serious about my original comment. It doesn't matter WHO would be President....should the US be attacked with nuclear weapons, they would strike back accordingly.

This just in; a sign questioning the religious beliefs of a Presidential candidate is no longer political.

Total Delegates:
Clinton 1586
Obama 1719 (133 ahead)
Pledged Delegates:
Clinton 1331
Obama 1487(156 ahead)
Superdelegates:
Clinton 255 (23 ahead)
Obama 232
Obama's lead shrinks to 133 from 146 before Pennsylvania, however, with the next two contests favouring Obama, it is likely that this lessening of his lead will be short-lived.
Obama has a slight lead (~5 points) in the polls in Indiana (85 delegates) and a significant lead (~10-20 points) in the polls in North Carolina (134 delegates). Both of those primaries go on May 6th.
