I recall my parents having to go through this, its a hard decision and in the end they were both gunned down in a bloody masscre by one another's rival gang.
I raised myself. Started my own gang and murdered both of those gangs that killed my parents.
My life has been one non-stop gang war and that the way I aims to keep it.

He'll probably drop out of the gang and go to college just to spite them.

With a touchy issue like this I think it has to follow the sex talk theory where the babydaddyies talk to boys about bang'n and babymommas talk to the girls about cook'n and clean'n.
In this case dad gets to choose which gang his boys pledges into. And ma gets to pick for her daughters. Whatever the case may be and whatever they decide I just hope they have LOTS of kids so the numbers balance out. I'd hate to see on parent get "driven by" because they created more gang members for the other crew.

i recommend that they check into the day care programs on offer.
beyond that...i recommend one of the following:
backyardigans hoodlums
go diego go adventure posse
dora's explorers
spongebob's squarepants
alvin's chipmunks
but i would not let either of them join:
tinkerbell's fairies
disney princesses

These parents need beaten silly then have the child taken away and put on a farm here in iowa so he knows what hard work is about. Then the only thing the kid has to worry about is getting kicked in the Balls while milking the cow instead of being shot at 10. This is horrible. I dont understand gangs what so ever.
I know the area that I live in we have alot a mexican "gangs" until spring and summer when all the hells angels come out of hibernation then all of a sudden the mexicans go into hiding. I dont understand that way of life
