If tear gas breaks up a crowd hell bent on causing damage to their own community I'm all for it. It's non-lethal and effective. Most of the people in Fergeson were not rubbing their hands together waiting for an excuse to riot. It's a small minority of trouble makers. The business owners shouldn't have to suffer damage because a police department already swimming in bad PR and community relations sits back and watches people riot in an attempt to not hurt feelings.

Rev. Al Sharpton is a complete moron. His statement is critical about the D.A. not discussing which specific witnesses saw what and whether this was an unanimous vote by the grand jury or not.
That's because he either can't release that information or he doesn't know that information since grand jury deliberations are anonymous.
This is how you get people charged up. Completely ignore law and fact.

There are so many people just standing around yelling, if there was burning cars and police I would go home. What's the point, protesting never accomplishes anything. Get involved in the community and local police station, that's better than tipping cars, looting and destroying things. It's like swatting a bees nest and expecting the bees to fly away.

Reporters on the street just wandering around and rambling in real time is such a low form of journalism, above only reading tweets on live air.
Why don't they have discussions of the grand jury system, analysis from legal scholars, etc. while stories are being gathered?
