Aye, one of the few reasons that makes it liveable up here in Edmonchuck.

But it is the best, IMO.

Flew here a few months ago. Not officially pizza from Calgary, but I brought some back on the plane with me.

Sadly it had been years since I had a good quality pizza. I always looked forward to trying a new place when traveling, hoping there was one last place that made a pizza the way it is suposed to be.

All these big chain pizza factories using pre made dough, and reconstituted meat? and cheese made from wax? I had all but given up hope...

I swear, I said to the wife "this is the last time I order pizza unless it's good"

Royal Pizza rocks, I love the dough/crust and the real cheese and quality toppings... I can't wait till I get to Edmonton again.

Please tell me the stuff here is better than the crap that used to be from Sbarro's in mall food courts?

Costco had better than those places IIRC.

calgary has no real good options for pizza, I find the best thing to do is make your own. I get a 3 cheese flat bread from sobeys, spicy pizza sauce, some pepp and canned mushrooms, and it tastes at least 3 times better than anything you will get at pizza hut or panago etc.

the 3 best pizzas ive had in the city are hawaiin pizza across from chinook mall (amazing pizza, really great sauce, just well done) pizza bobs (delicious pepperoni) and the best thin crust pizza in town, rio pizza on center street

Best Pizza Dough I've tried.

Mix into bread machine in this order.

Exactly 1 cup of beer, Guinness draft is good.

1 tbsp. olive oil

1 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. salt

2-2/3 cups all purpose flour

1-1/2 tsp. yeast

Set machine on dough setting. 2 hrs for mine. Handle the dough lightly.
Cook on top rack, oven preheated @ 500 f. Only takes about 5-7 min.
I lightly fry my deli meats and add them hot just before the pizza goes in.

I don't know if yeast makes a difference, I just use normal fast rising yeast. It says bread machine yeast. I do keep it in the fridge.

I don't like Pizza Hut. It is salty and their delievry sucks big time especially the one from Braeside branch. A couple of bad experience on their delivery. Twice it took 2 hours to deliver my pizza. At first it happenned, i thought i should give them another chance in a few months. For some reason the order lady forgot to punch in my order. I wouldn't even find out if I didn't call back for status of my pizza. I did order 2 large pizza and some chicken wings (summertime). I was told it will take 40 minutes at the most so I am okay with it. 40 minutes past I called the customer service and asked for the status of my pizza. She called Braeside and manager told her it's on the way. I was told to call back in 20 minutes if it doesn't arrive. 20 minutes past still no pizza so I called again. The same thing manager told her the delivery guy should be in soon. Another 20 minutes still nothing so I called back and was so ticked off. I wasn't angry at the customer service but i was at the manager who keep lying to her. I told the cs lady i need to know if I am getting my pizza at all or that freaking manager or not. She called Braeside and told the manager to stop lying to her and let her know if the pizza is on the way or not. Manager told her they are making the pizza and have it delivered right away. Meanwhile I have 3 kids (2 nephews and their friend) and myself getting hungry. 20 minutes later still nothing so I said forget it and cancel my order. The CS lady apologized and told me if the pizza comes in, i will not get charged. I started looking for something to cook but having difficulty finding something that is not frozen. So at exactly 2 hours and I am about to leave the house to get some Subways, the door bell rang and the pizza guy is there. He told me no charge so I told him you should ask the freaking manager that he owes him at least $10 for the tip that I was supposed to give him. I signed the receipt and wrote a note to the manager that was the worst service I ever got and wrote that he owe the delivery guy $10 for tip. I have never order any pizza from Pizza Hut ever again.

Ilike Nick & Willy's

Pizza Hut does suck - but it's relatively cheap an you can buy Dunkers.

Seriously, fried dough, covered with sugar and chocolate sprinkles and served with a vat of Hershey chocolate sauce. Eating a medium pizza plus dunkers will put you in the hospital but it's soo worth it

Does anyone have any good recommendations for pizza down in the core? (for dinner/weekends, no food court stuff)

Actually Inglewood Pizza is fantastic and has debit at the door. Mind you I lived in Ramsay when they delivered, so call and ask if they deliver to you.
