Not a safe assumption. This is but one fixed reality of an endless possible realities that a time traveller would enter in the event that she or he prevented Trump's election. The bad news is that we're stuck.

Maybe time travel gave us President Trump to prevent President Cruz or President Omarosa or President Alex Jones.

But there will be a tax cut, just not so large. He's going after too much regulation which is good but a 2 for 1 trade will never work. Term limits are awesome, but will never pass. A hiring freeze will never work but the government will grow at a smaller rate. Banning white house officials from lobbying for foreign governments is a great idea. Renegotiating NAFTA, well sucks for us but he's only asking not imposing, at least for now. TPP is flawed but who knows. Keystone goes forward, great.
There is a lot here to agree with even if you are moderate IMHO.

How is it petty? It's dumb on his part with nothing to gain. They were scheduled to meet for an hour. Why say anything different?

I book 30 minute meetings in my calander even if I know it will only take 5-10 minutes.
Does that make me a liar?

If you lie as much as he does, then yes, I'd call you a liar. But you probably don't.

Do you know what goes into a meeting with the President? Did he have briefings before that might run long? Meetings that run long?
He could have an hour booked but if Trump was told it would be a 10 to 15 minutes meet and greet with further meetings to come there is no reason to lie about that.
You are just looking for a reason to complain IMO. I can't even find an article that mentions that outside of the obviously slanted article you linked.

There's nothing wrong with calling out Trump for actual lies and I'd encourage it, however it's idiotic that the article even brings that up as if it's some material transgression. It's petty.

I noticed that part of his contract was to cancel federal funding to any "sanctuary cities". I didn't know what that meant so I looked it up. It basically means that several large cities in the U.S. (and Toronto and Hamilton in Canada) had made it so that city employees (including police) cannot ask someone about their immigration status unless they are being charged with something.
I guess what I found shocking was that they could even do this to begin with (randomly ask people about their immigration status I mean).

There were lots of Nazi sympathizers in the US and in the UK before the war. It probably just never died out since the Jewish conspiracy theories are all still alive and well. Just look up King Edward and Charles Lindbergh for some background.

This is what is wrong with politics today. People argue about and make big deals about things that are so petty and inconsequential to the bigger picture. Really, pick your battles...and this should not be one of them.

He called the media rigged and biased during his entire campaign. If he continues to lie they should call him out, even if it something small. If people think it's silly or petty, that's fine.

What did he lie about?
You posted 1 article that mentioned what you said, I haven't found another mentions that. Nor did your article mention he was told it was an hour. He certainly could have been told it was a 5-10 minute meeting.

It's not a big deal in isolation, but it seems like every time he opens his mouth, he says something untrue, whether big or small. Nothing for him can be normal. Was it a good meeting of normal length? No, it was an awesome meeting that ran long. Did you win the debate? Yes, everyone is saying so... like by 90%. Do you golf? Yes, and I hold all types of records. Best golfer ever in fact. And so on... he's like a little kid.

The most obvious examples I can think of are that for the fact checking portions Donald was called lying even if he was merely exaggerating, where Clinton got a free pass on her exaggerations. Trump is prone to exaggerate, hyperbolize even, but the disposition in her favour actually surprised me. I though also that CNN's election night coverage was a disgrace--- and I'd have rather seen Hillary win.
