Your looking at a player like Giordano, Glencross, or possibly Wideman+.

I don't think we'll be challenging for the cup next year anyways so that doesn't really matter so much. Besides, at 15 we might be able to get Zadorov which could end up more than replacing Gio.

His leadership for the youngins is really my only concern in losing Gio.

Glencross, Cammalleri at half salary, Giordano, Stempniak.... take your pick. Heck, we'll throw in a Smith or a Jackman at no extra charge.

In two years you might be saying, we drafted another Matt Pelech?

That's the thing about the draft. It is a crap shoot and you are never sure what you are getting until three or four years after they are drafted. To say a player two years after his draft is going to make people forget about a top player on our team is ridiculous. He likely won't get a contract for a year or two and then spend a year or two in the minors after playing out the junior string. Most of these kids are years away, especially the defensemen.
