Yeah I never knew who his real dad was until My Dad's friend told me about him and I finally saw the resemblance. That's cool Joey Potskin has the record for the Chiefs.

Thumbs up

Ryan Howse was awesome against Seattle yesterday! Check out his goal right off the start! What a beautiful goal! Then scores again at about the 2:15 mark, where he takes the pass off the skate and fires it home. Later has a couple pretty drives to the net and then assists on the OT winner. 2 goals, one assist and the first star in the game.

Oh man, I used to have to play hockey against the Potskins in Prince George, that was never fun. If they hacked your goalie after the whistle, you skated like hell for the bench because they'd be looking to grab you after they did it and beat the crap out of you. Didn't help that there were about 10 of them on that team too. Thinking back I'm happy to still be here today.

Yeah, my son played Junior A with Joey Potskin in Hobema and later often played against him (prince George) in tournaments. Skilled shifty player, Joey was and I know some of these tournaments got pretty rough, so l can imagine what you went through and can sympathize with you.

Potskins are the best with bacon, cheddar cheese, green onion, and sour cream for dipping.

Not a hockey guy here, but I'm told that Howse's speed/skating will make it tough for him in the pro's. Any thoughts? ...because he can sure seem to score.

I have watched him play, and never thought he had a concern with his speed.

Even if his skating were a major issue (which seems to be debatable), skating is probably one of the easiest things to improve upon, for him, moving forward.

Or Luc Robitaille whose draft scouting report said he was slower then the zamboni.

Like it says above skating can be worked on and improved. The hockey sense to find or go to scoring areas can't.

End of discussion!
Do you think he is better than Oscar Moller?

Ryan Howse leads WHL with 46 goals in 59 games.

Last year, he scored 47 goals in 72 games.

Can somebody explain his terrible +/- rating? -22 this season, -62 career in the WHL.

Is this due to poor defensive play or just because he is part of a terrible Bruins team?
