This shows that Peters is seeing a lot of the same things in my mind. He's creating, he never quits, and he's adding to the team's momentum on almost every shift.
If the guy can just learn to chill the hell out and finish it could be a big turning point for him.

Maybe. Could also be that the Flames have scored 4 goals in their last 3 games and 70% of their goals have come from the top 5 goal scorers on the team. Secondary scoring is non-existent and Peters needs to do something, anything, to try and get others going.

By elevating the has been that should be traded?
Certainly don't know the insides of Peters' skull but if you're trying to create scoring I think it's a fairly good bet that he would elevate people that he thinks can get it done based on recent play.
Never meant to turn this into a Bennett / Frolik thing ... in fact in my opinion I didn't.
I was just saying that you shouldn't be in a hurry to trade a forward that is clearly in your top nine because you're pissed that he's not going to be what you thought you drafted.
That's pretty much it.
I have him 6/7 because I see Frolik and his contract/age as a likely guy to go for cap space reasons, but he's a good player and I don't have any issue with him at all. He makes every line he plays on safer.
I've said 6-7 call it 8 if you want, it doesn't change the point. You don't move on or trade a player because you don't like that he hasn't been as good as you hoped when he's clearly in your top nine or better.
And yeah I think Bennett is a more important piece going forward than Frolik, not taking away anything from what Frolik has done since signing.

Could it be that a player with a whopping 4 points being in the top 9 (if not top 6 as you suggest) is a big part of the problem with this team's consistent lack of secondary scoring?

Absolutely ...
But that's a whole other question.
And the kid needs to start producing. If he's going to get more icetime and with better players the production has to come.

And wouldn't 'getting him going' be a solution to said problem?

At the risk of sounding "pissy"....if you dont trade "top 9" players who arent performing and havent for the 3rd season in a row....who do you deal?
I mean it reads like he is untouchable. So strange how defensive so many are about this guy who, by any measure, has been completely underwhelming as a pro.
Im not even of the opinion you have to trade him, but if he can return someone who improves the team (alone or as part of a package), you have to do it.

We're all Flame fans here on CP, no need for cheap shots.
Quoted only as it’s the most recent example of something I’m tired of.
Can we all quit this #### and remember we aren’t the centre of everything!? And that the whole world isn’t out to get you?
Seriously I feel like I see this every day, I’m reading along and someone is offended by a personal attack that they pulled out of the sky.
Quoting helps continue a conversation in a thread of many. Yes, some posters quote and call people out (like me here, sorry), but just because you were quoted doesn’t automatically mean you’re being attacked!

I wouldn’t say anyone is untradable.
If moving Bennett makes sense you do it.
My response was to those that just felt he needed a change of scenery. That makes little sense. That and I hate moving players that are struggling but showing they may pop.
Will he? I don’t know. My gut says he improves to a second line player. Better that in a Calgary uniform.
