We are having a huge multi family garage sale on the above dates.

All proceeds from this garage sale are going to my wifes co-worker who is trying to bring his wife and 2 boys here from Pakistan.

The story is quite sad. I summarize as best as I can

He, his wife and son had to flee Afghanistan to avoid persecution, Once they got to Pakistan he arranged to come to Canada to work and establish a life.

A month after he arrived his wife informed him that she was pregnant with their 2nd son.

This was 3 years ago, he has not met his second son yet and is in the final stages of being able to bring his family to Canada.

When he told his landlord that his family would finally be coming he was informed that he would have to find a new place to live because the landlord doesn't want to rent to a family with small kids

Anyway, that's the why.

We have had quite a few donations from our friends and families and there is alot of quality things available as well as the standard nick knacks that are usually found at garage sales.

Hopefully we'll see some of you there

Do you need more stuff? I was attempting to unload everything in the thread below for donations to The Cancer Society but nobody has taken yet (save Slava). It'll just end up land filled soon otherwise.

I got a bunch of baby stuff in my garage you can have for free.

Some nursing pillows, toys, and a bunch of other stuff.

I can't really say for certain what will be there as we haven't received anything from our friends and family yet. We are receiving all the stuff for the sale the weekend of May 30th.

There will be:

TV's & Stands
Skis and Ski boots
Silk plants
lots of books
Some clothing items

I haven't heard yet if there will be any baby items available.

Other than what I've listed above I won't know what will be there until we get the items at the end of the month.
