Are you sure it was Marda Loop? I just drove down 26th ave toward 14th st and saw a bunch of cops just in front of the intersection (aboot 40 min ago). FTR, I cut thru Marda Loop and saw nothing there.

I think forest lawn gets a bad rap because it's mostly poor, but the area above has mostly cheap apartment blocks and 20 times the population.

Sure would be interesting if this ended up being related to that violent criminal being released from prison in Calgary.

Should redo my quote as the other one wasn't accurate. 'History' not present. misheard it the first time.

"Police fatally shooing a man they called 'very violent.'"

I am not going to lose any sleep when someone of that nature is now off the streets. It'll be interesting to hear about the other victim. Sounds like a domestic incident but who knows anymore with all the crazy incidents happening lately.

I saw Jayme Doll reporting live for Global news this morning from the scene of the CPS shooting. She called it a "puzzling puzzle". Nice.

Good riddance to the gone dude. It's unfortunate the women is dead though.

It's too bad they didn't kill the guy involved in the greyhound bus incident. People like this shouldn't be behind bars. Their stories do not deserve to be told.

I was down at my other house last night (19th street 26 ave) and heard all the commotion.....a bunch of cop cars flying by and swat team trucks.

Sadly, this isn't the first time I've seen/heard gun battles in the area. There is still a mix of crack shacks/multi million dollar homes in the area, so until the local riffraff sell their properties to a developer I can't see it stopping anytime soon.

I was on hold to reschedule a doctors' appointment and the radio station said something to the effect that the suspect/victim called the police to say he had already killed his wife/girlfried. The police came and had to respond. Weird story.
