It was a ball, same weight as a hockey puck and hard... I go down there to blow off some steam and work on my shot. Today it took an unfortunate bounce off the crossbar and made it's way through 3 panes of glass.

Son of a...

Ducktape and cardboard works good...or if you wanna go fancy you can use Black ducktape and clear plastic...you know...so you can still see outside.

I know the ball you're talking about.

Those things are the destroyer of souls.

You and crossbars don't get along, do you? It might be a good idea to shoot bottom corner for a while.

Is it your standard sliding type? (Like what they have been using for the last 30 years or so?) If so, can you just buy the replacement panes somewhere like Home Depot and install yourself?

There's no freaking way i'm going to be installing window panes... I'll install Windows Vista for you but not actual windows...

Plus the hassle of finding the exact size, learning how to do it would be a major pain in the glass..

I'd rather pay someone qualified

All he is saying is that if it is a standard size, all you need to do is go to Home Depot and they'll have the panes prefabricated. The steel will be all around the glass and everything - all you'll have to do is put them in. Its no different than when you take them out to clean both sides.

To find the size you need, just take one of the pane/frames out, and measure it from outside edge to outside edge. Drop by Home Depot and see if they have it. Unlesss it is a specialized application, they'll have it.

It will cost you WAY less, and you can be done in 15 minutes plus a commute to Home Depot.

I wouldnt discount this method so soon if I were you.

Ok, I see what you mean... I'll call in to home depot maybe and see if they have that before I plunk down on repairs.

Or, if they are that removeable...... take the broken panes with you to Home Depot. That way you can be sure of an exact fit.

And yeah, the panes should just lift up and pull inwards to come out.
