IMO this would be a very good indicator of what a potential Weegar market could look like.
Parayko is 32, 4 years left after this one at $6.5M
Weegar is 32, 5 years left after this one at $6.25M

I just hate the Blues and everything they do nowadays.
Steal our playoff spot last year because of an insane fluke run, now trying to out tank us. Just F off will ya!

American teams are much better at tanking as their owners typically don't get as involved. I'm not blaming Conroy but for whatever reason it taking the Flames longer to get these deals done while the Blues and even Canucks just get down to business and move the players quickly.

As crazy as it is, Buffalo actually may be legit. They are 4 points out of 1st in the East, 2 behind Tampa for 1st in the Atlantic.
Since Dec. 1 Buffalo is a ridiculous 26 - 8 - 1 for a .757 points %.
Coloardo has played at a .758 all season, so Buffalo has been playing elite hockey for 3 months now.

If thats true buffalo got robbed. parayko doesnt look like the same player lately and you get a 9th overall pick who is going to be a monster and almost made the sabres at 18 AND a 1st?
Not many deals getting done but the buying teams are paying through the nose

Parayko is still living off his reputation from 2018-2019. Highly overrated player, and has been for quite some time.
Really don't like this or get it at all from a BUF standpoint.

The Sabres aren’t effing around.
That’s a lot to pay. But Parayko is exactly what they were missing - a big, reliable, seasoned RD who can eat up minutes on the 2nd pairing. And he’s not a rental. This gives them a pretty amazing top-4 (top-5 if you include a revitalized Samuelsson) for years. And if they’re not sold on Power, they can move him at some point for help at forward without opening a gaping hole in their blue line.
