Training camp performances will play a huge part.
Though he doesn’t fit the OP’s criteria, Sam Honzek could blow the doors wide open. Reports of him putting on a lot of muscle are encouraging.

I think he comes in and pushes for the 4th line center and makes it really hard to send him to the A.

Isn't Kirkland signed a 1-way deal to be the 4th line center, or is he a winger?

Its a cute story but I don’t see costco as much more than a stopgap that i hope King solidifies long term.

I can't see a Jooris type with this group but I can see one or two of the 19-20 year old's having a wow factor camp and making the team.

The roster is almost full with little to no holes. Last year was kinda similar but I would say that Klapka kind of took over that surprise entry.
If we take a look at the forwards, we currently have the following penciled in :
Huberdeau-Kadri-Coronato
Zary-Frost-Sharky
Farabee-Backlund-Coleman
Fourth line being a combination of Lomberg, Pospisil, Kirkland and Klapka.
With all that being said, the sole opening I can see at forward being up for grabs is the 4th line centre role. The contenders for such role would be Kerins (doesn't really fit the bill as we all expect him to eventually make the jump, Honzek (recently played centre but isn't an unknown commodity, Morton and King. Only King would really adhere to Josh Jooris like status.
On the backend, we have the following :
Hanley-Weegar
Bahl-Anderson
Bean-Pachal
Now, I fully expect for there to be a move at defense. Parekh is going to need minutes in order to play his game. With everything swirling around Anderson, he will likely be the man to be moved. If Anderson isn't moved, I would expect for Weegar to move back to the left side and have them run with the following :
Weegar-Anderson
Bahl-Parekh
Hanley-Pachal
For d-men there are a plethora of defenders who could play 5/6 roles such as : Solo, Kuznetsov, Grushnikov and Brzustewic. Brzustewicz has top 4 potential though and I would prefer having him hone in on his game in the minors before being sent up. Each of Solo, Kuz and Grush wouldn't be all that of a surprise to come in and steal a spot though so I don't really view them as a Josh Jooris type. If a player like Morin came in and had a big camp and stole a role I would be very surprised but other than him I don't think there is anyone who truly fits the bill.
In goal, no one fits the bill.

I thought Ciona was going to surprise last year. I'll go with him one more time.

Personally think Morin is a little underrated here.

Parker Bell had only 12 points in almost a full AHL season last year. 0 chance he's making the NHL this season. He'd also have to leap over players who are much better suited for a bottom 6 role, like Ciona, Stromgren, Morton, and potentially King.
My vote is Kuznetsov. I think he's going to stick all season on the left.

Ciona/Taco Jr. To me, these are the Jooris types who nobody really thinks of, but could have an undeniable camp. Both are very mature 'leaders' for their ages too.
I agree with Fan above - Morin is criminally underrated IMO. I could see him potentially stealing a spot at camp. Probably will get sent down, but I think he will come close at least this upcoming preseason.

Kerins and Kuznetsov are the 2 that are most likely to make the roster IMO. They're outside of the top 10, but I'm not sure they qualify because they're the obvious answer.
I bet Basha, Brzustewicz and Honzek are going to have a very strong training camp. They're in the top 10 though.
That's why Poirier is my darkhorse pick to make the team.
