I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed that someone voted Draisaitl first, or that 52 voters had him in their top five.
We have highlighted individual games that had 3-4 goal against that were because of Drai's being out of position, or simply not caring about defense.

Barkov can pretty much expect to be nominated annually just based off reputation now.

The Selke, like the Norris, is basically a reputation award. It takes years and years of elite two-way play to get serious consideration. And once you’re recognized as a Selke nominee, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be in the mix every year going forward until you age out.
