Such a stark contrast to the lackadaisical team we saw last game.
Very solid effort.
Smith was great.
Hopefully they carry that momentum into Game 1.

Much better effort from the team after that atrocious VAN game. That's what I wanted to see.
Good game for Smith.
Still want to see another forward signing(aka Jagr), just to get Bennett another solid linemate and bump Brouwer down.

I'm not expecting Smith to set the world on fire but if he can be solid like tonight more nights than not, then we have a really good chance of doing some damage this year.

If Jankowski doesn't make the team it will be a travesty.
Bennett is going to have a huge year. The only reason I can see why they're pairing him with Brouwer is the hope Bennett makes him better.

nice to see smith have a great game.
Strong game by the flames. I hope they stick with the lineup as it is, at least from the perspective of the 4th line, come opening night. Glass was brought in for 1 aspect of the game, and performed admirably in that aspect. Deserves a contract, and he should play on Wed night.
Let the Regular Season begin baby!

It was for the 3rd period at least. They looked good together. Jankowski is a really smart player and seemed to be good at faceoffs, but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the pace of the game at times. Generally complemented Bennett well. Give that line a few games and I think the results will come.

Jankowski will be on this team, I am worried the flames will favor veterans over him but he's just too good to be sat. I have zero problem with Janko playing wing to Bennett if the Flames are adamant that Stajan is going to be the 4th line center.

Loved how pumped up Smith got over a preseason win.
That was almost Henrik karlsson style celebration
He is one competitive dude!
Definitely a better game that what we've seen in the last while, but the team still needs to tighten up defensively, as there were a lot of scoring chances for Winnipeg
