Oh you meant "go there" as in getting SP3. I thought you were referring to actually going to windows update.
I didn't realize there were problems with it. I pretty much use Vista at the office and at home. Everyone else here is running XPSP2, a couple have asked me to up them to SP3... but I'm not going to. I haven't had any time at all to look into the release notes and test it out in our environment, etc.
Definitely too much of a headache for me, but not because of bugs - just because of the process itself.
...as for the OP, I took a look in the server room. All I have are about 48 copies of XPSP1, which would just leave you in the same boat. Sorry man.
You can download a copy of XPSP2 from a bit torrent site, though. As long as you have your own product key, there's nothing illegal in doing that.
