Flames lose 4-1 to Buffalo
Pretty good result for me.
I only tune in to watch Wolf and the young guys now.
Wolf played good, flames gave it a good effort and it’s a good loss for the future.

23rd overall! Top 10 pick territory.

10th right now.
Hopefully Pitts and Seattle can put us in 8th.
8th means one of the top 2 centers or 6 high-end defensemen

Three posts in a PGT more than 90mins since a regular season game ended.
That has to be some kind of CP record.

Pittsburgh is going to lose because their pick is top-10 protected.

No one is telling a room full of players to throw games to help retain a pick in the draft. Just a ridiculous notion to suggest a pro team that has Sidney Crosby would operate this way.
If they lose its because the team is no good, which it is.

Send Coronato back down if you’re not going to play him.
First time I’ve been annoyed by Huska all season.

I'll play Devils advocate here.
I feel the organization feels it's more beneficial for him to experience the pro life . The way you conduct yourself/ to watch games and how to practice the right way.
I'd argue at the kid being above a ppg and already a tweener the organization is investing in him early. The AHL schedule is 72 games and he has only played 40 with 42 points. The rest of his time has been with the big club. It's his first pro year to boot.
Conroy and Co clearly think him being around the big club is more beneficial than being stored way in the ahl as the limited time there already shows he Excels there instantly.
Coronato may be one of the examples that going to the nhl is better for development than ahl.
Many higher whl picks go this root but he was at Harvard and choose to come into the professional years much earlier than other college athletes
Let's not forget he made the team out of camp and not just a cup of coffee. I see him staying up as the Flames are going in all in on him.

Well the season is more or less over. People might have moved on to other things.
I hope the Flames make the final 12 games a tryout camp. Play as many different players as you can and play wolf as much as you can. Figure out who’s ready and who isn’t for next season.
I’d fill in any gaps with journeymen on 2-3 year contracts until the younger players are ready. I still think they need a seasoned 2/3 center and 3/4 dman. Maybe they pick them up in the summer via a markstrom/Mangiapane trade.
Keep Pachal and Miromanov up along with Zary, Hunt, Coronato, Pospisil, Duehr. Try to be somewhat competitive so the culture of losing doesn’t set in.

The season is effectively over. Pretty miserable times right now to be a Flames fan.
I think the poster asking $40 for two tickets was being a bit ambitious.

I had lots of fun, haven’t been to a live game in a long time and my cousin invited me who has great season tickets. Not the most entertaining game ever but came away with a win, a great night, and the cinnamalt swirls are still absolute fire (those better make it to the new building).

I'm excited. The Flames are projecting to pick in the top 10 and next season could be picking top 5. If they can make the picks count these times could be looked at as a turning point for the organization.
