Default How many trick or treaters did you get this year? Halloween 2106

I enjoy reading this thread every year and because I am 14 hours ahead of Calgary I thought I would start this years version.
My family and I live in Ulaanbataar Mongolia. It is currently 7:35 pm on Halloween night and we have already had 39 visitors. The tradition has really caught on here the past few years.
Lots of ghosts, ninjas, witches, and not surprisingly 5 Harley Quinn's so far.
We are giving out mini Snickers and gum filled lollipops.

Mongolia is in a much further-ahead timezone than I thought!

Ohhhh... it's on purpose. There are that many Halloweeners in Mongolia?! That's pretty awesome.

Mongolia is stuck right between Russia and China and depending on time changes there can be either 14 or 15 hours difference.

Ah yeah you were referring to the "typo" haha.

my answer will be 0 as we have no candy to give out and my son has a hockey practice tonight and my daughter is going out with a friend, so my wife is going to use the opportunity to go to yoga or the gym.

In that case, how many eggs do you think you'll get?

Seriously though, has anyone's house ever actually been egged? Smashing pumpkins happens all the time for sure, but I've never heard or seen anyone's house get egged.

Yes. Little s---s.

We live in an area that gets tons of kids. 100-150 minimum. We ran out of candy a few years ago around 2030. So I shut off the lights.

After 2100 some teenagers came knocking. Don't know why I bothered answering the door. Told them I ran out, eggs hit garage door and drive way maybe 15 minutes later.

We got around 80 or so last year, so figuring its going to be around the same - we do keep a tally though, so interested to see what it lands at.

Etiquette question - how late do you have to keep answering the door? I plan to shut off the lights and ignore the door around 9:30. Is that reasonable? This is only the second year we've had halloween in a house (lived in a condo before), so the handing out candy thing is still pretty fresh to us.

We probably get 4 or 5 that get candy. We go out with our kids and just leave a big bowl of candy outside. It likely lasts the first group and that's it....

Typically our neighborhood sees 250-300 kids even with a bunch of fundies turning their house dark and not letting their kids go out on such an evil day.

Smashing Pumpkins was a great band.

I never saw a house get egged, but I was on a school bus that got egged on Gate Night. We were coming back from a volleyball tournament and two guys on our team, that were suspended, were out egging cars. I don't think they were specifically waiting for our bus, but they definitely enjoyed it. Our coach laughed about it. He might have also been laughing that we went 0-8 in the tournament.

It's not pumpkin smashing that we have an issue with in Bonavista... turns out there were a bunch of houses that got hit last night with pumpkin theft! The ones that were outside, uncarved, got swiped. Carved ones were untouched??? Is there a black market for pumpkins? I know there is a shortage, but this is crazy!

Good lord, Market Mall is overwhelmed with kids trick or treating at the shops. Does no one go door to door anymore?

One kid was dressed as monkey puppy baby.
