Heard about this on the radio on the way into work yesterday morning and a banner across the top of the Sun so I took a look online last night (desperatley in need of a new game)
It LOOKS intersting. I actually intended to start a thread on it myself as I'd like to know more about it before I drop $60 on it.

The one thing I've seen in videos that I am not a fan of is that auto-targeting pistol. I can see that being an infuriating way to die.

It's a really underpowered weapon, the only thing that it can kill with any sense of ease are AI shmoolies.
And no, there are no dedicated servers, but you can form pre-made groups to stomp pubbies in.

Are there any costs outside the purchase of the game to play?
There was two options, one for 59.99 and one for 79.99 and the more expensive one included a year long pass of sorts?

Wow... do not like. Do you have to search for a game every time a round ends?

That would be a season pass. IE you pay for all the DLC up front and get the content as they release it over the span of a year.

Yes, but even if you don't have a premade you get to stick with the group you were just playing with (if you so wish), which I think is a great policy, as you can make bros with guys who don't suck.

If you don't have an Xbox Live Gold subscription already, you'll have to buy that as well.

enjoying the pc version...its a really good game although I think the hype is overblown its really nothing revolutionary.
I wouldn't be breaking the bank to play it but if you already have an 360/one/or decent PC I would definitely pick it up.
FYI PC requirements are quite low so even if you have an older PC it might be worth a shot

Loving this game (my currently partially bloodshot eyes are proof).
I'd agree that it isn't necessarily a revolutionary game for the genre, but it's definitely a significant evolutionary step. At its core, the game is just straight fun.
I'm playing on Xbox One as Max Cow Disease.

My 2007 era Xbox just died recenlty. Didn't get a ton of use, spent more time as a media extender than a gaming platform.
I very much am, and always will be, a PC gamer.

So in which case, no, there is no additional cost outside of the game itself. Which version you choose is entirely up to you although I tend to forgo DLC season passes until I see the quality of that DLC.

Fun bit of gaming with Max Cow Disease last night, we should see if we can't get a group of CP'ers together.

It's extremely fun, best advice I can give is to keep moving and use the jump ability to move between ground levels constantly. Cloaking is good to use against Titans but sucks against people. Melee is super powerful, you can one shot someone with a swift kick. On attrition kill the NPC as well as the pilots, everyone seems to count the same on the kill counter. Watch for people using Titanfall to kill you, I died a couple times that way so always keep moving. Rodeoing titans as a pilot is more effective than the rocket launcher. If someone has rodeo'd you, eject to kill them.

Played for a couple hours last night and I quite enjoyed the experience. Took me a while to get used to playing with a controller again but after that I settled in nicely. I like that the game seems balanced - the titans are sweet but not indestructible and even vulnerable to ground pilots.
I like using the Ogre so far - especially the nuclear detonation when it dies.
