They also haven't quite figured out that the hidden hinge exists. They do a lot of cheap applied door cabinetry (usually 80's oak) where the doors/drawers are spaced apart and proud of the frame which makes them easy to open without knobs/handles.

True story:
We went to a restaurant in Washington State and on the main door, above the door knob was a sign. "To open door, turn knob and pull." We couldn't believe that this sign was needed.

Saw a sign at a restaurant in Montana near Yellowstone in someones front yard right beside the restaurant "animals and humans please don't urinate on our lawn"  Suddenly I felt like going before getting back in to drive again
