**Edit** I have seen the video, and I no longer object to it.

*************previous post*********************
Is this 4chan or something? I don't see why we need stuff like this posted.

Maybe I am in the minority on this, but there is a line somewhere on what is acceptable to post, and I am really hoping that a video of person burning alive crosses that line.

Seriously.

I think that's a little over the top with the 4chan comparison. Why should things be censored if they may disgust people. You need to go Mexico where I saw a head cut in half on the front page of a newspaper. Why should this stuff be posted? Because it was actually a news story and provides a little more insight in what happened.

The title of thread is pretty damn clear. If you don't want to see it, don't open it.

You don't see anything anyways. Just what looks like some people trying to stomp out a fire from hundreds of yards away. It should be fun to see the morality police come out here soon, they've been on quite the hot streak lately, and I enjoy it. Moral outrage on the internets never stops being funny.

Yup, I'm going to watch a video of a man delivering an immolation-o-gram then click on the link to find a sexy partner in Calgary.

How is comparing a site where it is common to have suicide videos posted to a site that is has a video of a man burning alive posted a poor comparison?

You don't have to go to the link to watch it. I went and watched it and you can't even see the guy on the fire, it's basically just showing the commotion of all the people making sure he's not on fire anymore. I was curious to see it.

I would agree with you a little more if it was a video embedded right in the thread so you had no choice but to watch a guy being set on fire.

It's an actual news story, and not really any worse than the video of that big rig that flipped over the overpass in Edmonton that was posted awhile back.

If this video is not a video of a man lighting himself on fire, then I clearly was mistaken in my objection. I was only going by what the OP said in the title - "Video of Man lighting himself on Fire"

Edit: After watching it, I totally withdraw any complaints about the post other than the thread title, which probably should have read: - "Small fire seen in distance with people moving nearby"

this is local news. and the 4chan comparison is a little strong. its not like the people were trying to put the fire out by pissing and ting on him, that would be the 4chan material way

I have added some clarification to my previous post after seeing the video.

I do not have any problems with this video anymore, other than the thread is a fata.

I bolded the part where it is different, and on top of that, this is a NEWS story in CALGARY, and this is a CALGARY focused messageboard. Tell me again of any direct comparisons between 4chan and CP?...

Maybe next time watch what/read what you are actually commenting on instead of assumming.

I don't get these people. "Don't send me back to my country because they are going to harm me." Sorry sir, I dont think that is the case you need to go back. "Already I will harm myself then, right here."

WTF is wrong with people.

Wow.

I am going to give this one more shot.

I was wrong about the comparison. I was only going on what the OP said was in the video, which described to me a video of a person lighting himself on fire.

This kind of video is something that is common on 4chan. Although I don't frequent the website, I have had the misfortune of being shown threads there that are apparently common, which supposedly contained videos of people killing themselves. If this was a video of that type as the OP suggested, then it would have been a valid comparison.

No, it still wouldn't be. You keep saying it is common on 4chan and if it was the same video, then the comparison is the same... but yet it isn't common on CP, so saying CP is like 4chan is wrong. Even if the video was a guy shooting himself in the head there would still be no coorelation to 4chan.

I realize that the only way you think a website could be like 4chan is if it actually was identical to 4chan in all aspects.

I also realize that my gross misuse of the word 'like' has caused a huge miscommunication here and in the future I will attempt not to use such complex words that can be so easily misunderstood.
