So much for those pro-NFL people who don't believe this...

For this article, it definitely shows that Williams isn't the typical NFL player. He's driven by the game and experience, not by the money, fame, etc. Good to see, and good to hear that he's stayed away from Marjuana for such a period of time

There was speculation on ESPN The Sports reporters show this morning that Williams last positive drug test was for something OTHER than weed.

From the article:
"He seems to be getting high solely off yoga, meditation and other perfectly legal means -- though, it should be pointed out, he says the weed he was smoking in the aftermath of his 2004 retirement was medically prescribed. (Williams won't talk about the positive test from 2005 that led to his current suspension, but it apparently revealed a substance that was neither marijuana nor other common street drugs.)"

Yeah, at the time the suspension was announced John Clayton mentioned on ESPN radio that he was 100% sure the positive test was for something other than illegal street drugs.

Yes, because Ricky Williams is the expert on such matters. I'd rather ask Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, or Jeff Garcia...guys who haven't been kicked out of the NFL and might possibly hold a grudge.

Anyhow, I kind of believe Ricky might finally have his head screwed on right.

I say good for him. He seems a little different from all the other athletes out there. A little more 'in tune' with what it means to be a human being...rather than a spoiled athlete with the whole world on a silver platter.

nice story, but does anyone really believe he'd still be playing football if the Dolphins hadn't threatened to make him return a big portion of his multi million dollar signing bonus? He's there because he has to be, not because he wants to. He loves it up here because no one gives a crap about CFL football and there's zero pressure.
