I thought this interview was great. I think I've seen this part quoted a few times in CP already:

TSN: Finally, Darryl came in 14 months ago. What’s the biggest shift you’ve seen out of this group since he took over?

Tanev: “Mindset, culture. I think coming to work every day and expecting to win, preparing to win, practising to win. I think he’s changed that all dramatically. Every day is a new day. Regardless of what happened yesterday, you move forward and expect to win the next day. When you’re at practice, you’re expected to make tape-to-tape passes, work hard, skate, and then prepare for the next game. It just becomes a big cycle where you play, reset, and expect to win and try to get better every day at what you can improve on what the team can improve on. That’s going to be a big thing for us down the stretch. We need to clean up some things and get our game to where it needs to be.”

But the part that was hilarious to me was the following:

Funniest guy on the team? Z [Nikita Zadorov]

Best style? Backs [Mikael Backlund] can show it off a bit. He knows what he’s doing in that department

Worst style? Mang [Andrew Mangiapane]

I can tell Z has a fun charisma to him - from the big Russian behind the scenes video on the Flames, but imagining that Backlund is somehow the fashionista of the Flames is hilarious and I just imagine Mangiapane walking around all day in his ugly C t-shirt.

Ha, that's great about Mang. I had actually assumed that Backs was probably one of the more stylish Flames based on random interviews I've seen with him when he's in street clothes. Not necessarily a 'loud' style, like a PK Subban, but more a good style that looks good and is up to date.

Backlund is always impeccably groomed when you see pictures of the team in civilian clothes.

It's been used as a symbol by the Russian military. However, as long as he doesn't mind, I don't see a reason to stop calling him by a nickname that was given well before the Ukraine invasion, and I'd argue that insisting that it be changed inappropriately links him to the Russian military decisions.

Exactly. By stopping its use elsewhere, you only give that usage of the letter more power.

Would like to share a Flames game experience we will always remember last night.

Both sons at Flames/Wild game with me. We have seats on the glass.

One of my son's was wearing a Ukrainian hat in support, we are of Ukrainian ancestry.

While skating around the Flames bench, Zadorov saw my son's hat during one of the breaks in the period and came over and tapped the glass and then said loudly "nice hat".

My son was so surprised. He then went on social media and found evidence of Zadorov supporting Panarin's anti-Putin view from some time ago.

Zadorov will always be welcome on the Flames in our view.

Pretty cool video, I skipped ahead through parts and funny how easy it to to find his house because of that pan shot and his view of downtown.
