Coyotes hire Rick Tocchet as new head coach
Jim Matheson (@NHLbyMatty)
Todd Nelson waiting to hear if he's gets Arizona head job. Hearing Dallas Eakins also interviewed, Sheldon Keefe, Leafs' AHL coach too.
Hahahaha, that'd be so hilarious

As a fan of another Pacific division team, I like this.

I think it would be even funnier if he did well there. Go Eakins!
I have visions of the Yotes narrowly beating out the Oilers for the last playoff spot, Dallas at the helm. It would be beautiful.

Nelson and Eakins both interviewed.
They obviously have a plan in the desert. I believe it's somewhat similar to what Moses did in the desert.

Well, if hes in the Desert then that whole adage about 'Carrying Water' really comes in handy.
Not much wood to chop though.

I hope both him and Nelson land there and punt the Oilers out of the playoffs at the end of the year. Nelson who at the request of Lowe, had the indignity of having MacT forced upon him on the bench, like a junior high school dance chaperone, for his first 6 games.
Eakins was in line for a high profile assistant role/associate coach somewhere until Lowe realized that he could score some media points buy hiring a guy the east media loved, because Eakins was in TO. Kruger got the shaft and Eakins got thrown to the lions.
Lowe, like so many egotistical moves, set all involved up for failure. The Coyotes, in the above mentioned late season game, should invite Ralph Kruger and Tom Renney so they can share the moment with Nelson and Eakins.

I attended a summer hockey school in southern Ontario for several years when I was 8-13. Bunch of pros there teaching, and Dallas Eakins was one of them. He was the scariest meanest guy... always disliked him since. Glad he's spending time with teams I dislike.
