In the years after finishing University (4-5 yrs) I would have a couple of different dreams. One was the school showed up and demanded the degree back. The other was that I forgot something very important for school. It often changed, missed an exam, didn't register for the correct class etc.
I still have a couple of bad dreams a year that relate back to my tour in Yugo. I wake up angry and violent. It is a horrible feeling, and scares me.

Another common dream I have is where I can levitate and float around the neighborhood.

I have very weird dreams especially when I'm stressed.
I used to have an ongoing first person view dream where I was flying over the land and everything that my shadow touched withered and died.
I had a dream last week where I ate my own brain, that one was disturbing.
I had a dream where I was hung in the old west.

I get both the "all my teeth are falling out" and "I have a final exam for a course I didn't attend for the entire semester" dreams. The latter is especially weird since I graduated from university over 12 years ago.

I'm currently on Champix. One of the amusing side effects is really vivid dreams. Last night I played Batman: Arkham city for an hour and then watched Drugs Inc. As a result, I had a crazy vivid dream about getting my wallet stolen by a drug dealer and went on a batman like rampage of beating the tar out of gang members.
Was a pretty good one actually.

I'll have the odd one where Ill be free falling or else might have done something really horrible that is weighing on my conscious or something along those lines.
No word of a lie though, more often than not I have pretty awesome dreams about Zombie survival or where I'm fighting monsters with a group of people. Never horrific or anything and most of the time I wake up before I've won the day or else have met my untimely demise.. Just last night I'm pretty sure my mind was trying to re-create the Reavers from Firefly!
Too many TV shows and video games perhaps and/or an over active imagination. But I'll take it!

I always have dreams that I will be late for something important; like catching a plane or missing an exam.. both of which have happened in real life. It actually makes me pretty anxious when it comes to getting to the airport.

I have something similar where I bite down so hard all my teeth shatter. I bet you grind your teeth or clench your jaw when you have that dream.

Exam dreams, 30 years later
Also a variation on levitation where I jump like a long jump but instead on landing I continue to surf about a foot off the ground like I'm on a skateboard made of air

So most of you know I am waiting on surgery to have my gallbladder out. Still no date yet as I have had prior surgery on my stomach from a car accident and he wants to do a CAT scan to see if laparoscopic is possible, he is thinking it will not be which means open surgery the old way. Personally I don't care, bigger scar, more recovery time, whoop dee doo, get this damn thing out of me, but I keep having the same dream once a night that I go in and get the open done and I don't come out of the anethesia. I can see my body lying there and it has been days and I am not breathing on my own, won't come back to consciousness, and they end up pulling the plug. I never get recurring dreams, ever. I think it is just from the stress of trying to work through these stupid attacks and waiting, I just want it done. I don't believe in premonition dreams. It is unsettling though.

The other one is I'm late for something important but I can't find my socks (or some other thing I need) and I go on this excruciating journey of trying to get myself ready but ending up two hours late

OT, but we had family up from the states a couple of weeks ago, and they give their 8 yr old and 11 yr old melatonin before bed every night.
It seems crazy to me.
