This post still ranks true 2 games later.
Overall the Flames are completely controlling play at home, but haven't been getting the finishing or goaltending they need.
They really need scoring help upfront, as they have next to no finishers on the team. Scoring help, combined with better finishing/puck luck and better goaltending, along with continuing to play the same way they have all season at the Dome will make the Flames a dominant home team.
I am not worried about this team in the slightest despite the recent skid. Darryl Sutter hockey has them playing great.
Honestly think adding a Tomas Hertl to this team alone would fix their scoring woes

- FF%: 60.67% (1st. Boston is 2nd @ 58.50%)
- SF%: 60.91% (1st. Boston is 2nd @ 59.63%)

- xGF%: 66.10% (1st. Boston is 2nd @ 59.12%. MASSIVE difference)
Pure dominance at the Dome this season, at least 5v5.
Have been running into incredible goaltending at the Dome all season for some reason (23.95 xGF at 5v5, but only 16 goals) while not getting the best goaltending themselves (5v5 is pretty good, but overall have allowed 21 goals on 18.3 xGA). Not horrible, but bottom half of the league (Markstrom ranks 25th among goalies who've played at least 3 games at home in GSAA/60), whereas Markstrom has been incredible on the road (2nd among goalies who've played at least 3 games on the road in GSAA/60).
If they continue playing the way they have on home ice, I have ZERO doubt that they will end up one of the best home teams in the entire NHL, and be a force to be reckoned with on home ice come the Playoffs.
Also, I will be at this game, so bringing pure positive vibes for this beautifully coached team.

Y'know what.... I like the way this team loses. Losing socks, especially at home. But in the long run, I'd be a lot more concerned if this team was routinely being outplayed. That's just not the case this year.

Another frustrating night where the Flames probably deserved a better fate. Just having a very hard time scoring, and the opposition goalie always seems to be just a little bit better than ours at home. Gotta figure these things out.
Treliving needs to find this team some more top end offense.

Edmonton loses. Anaheim loses. Vegas lost last night.
Flames are still in first place.
Its been a bad week.
Nothing to be overly concerned about.
This will turn around.

The bad: we lost again
The good: Anaheim and Edmonton lost so while we didn’t gain any ground we didn’t lose any either.

#### Linus Ullmark. A Sabres castaway doing his best Hasek impression. Also #### the crappy puckluck the Flames have been having lately. Markstrom had an off night but this team is as unlucky as it gets right now.

Team isn't built to come from behind, Treliving needs to get a high octane forward for the the top six or this won't change.

We were due for a bad game so i'm not that worried. It's the clowns up north that should be.

Edmonton losing makes it sting a little less but it's frustrating not being able to separate themselves even more.
The first goal was bad but they had plenty of time to get it back but I didn't think they made life for Ullmark as miserable as they should have. There were too many shots right at him. Then they had a big brainfart for a couple of minutes and all of a sudden it's 3-0.
