We don't do the wave in Phoenix

I guess some fans tried to get a wave going and the Coyotes were not impressed.

Not sure if it was the fans in sec 112 or if that was the total attendance number.

Hahah buncha morons. The Yotes Management, I mean. I fully support The Wave. Hell, I've participated in more than a few at the Dome

Lol, dumb move by Yotes management. They're telling their fans what they can and can't do to celebrate at a game? Lame. But what do you expect from a lame organization in general I guess.

There was a pretty amazing wave going on at the Dome this afternoon for the Hitmen game. Was sort of a throw back to the days when it was a lot more popular.

honestly I think its dumb too but to tell paying customers not to do it lol

especially a team begging for fans

Maybe fans should tell the team to spend some of the cap money on players that will actually play a game for them

While the wave is a joke, it's even more of a joke to tell your paying customers they can't do the wave.

I guess to be fair the social media guy, a wave in a crowd of 1,000 people in a 16 to 17K seated facility would look pretty sad.

The wave is a bit of silly fun and I always enjoyed participating at the Dome as a kid. The response from the twitter guy reminds me a bit of going to Flames student night back in 2002. People in our section were complaining about how loudly we were cheering and a few ushers warned us to settle down. Thankfully after the game someone from arena management came up and thanked us for adding the only atmosphere to the building and that we were welcome back any time.

Also, the Mexican wave (as it is called here) is banned at Cricket Australia matches. To quote their rules, you cannot:

Quote:
disrupt, interrupt or behave in any manner that may disrupt or interrupt any of the Matches or other activities at the Venue, distract, hinder or interfere with a player, interfere with the comfort of other patrons on their enjoyment of any of the Matches or other activities at the Venue, including by the way of participation, in any manner, in a ‘Mexican wave’;

The whole arena should stand then fall over in order along the line. I call it the doing the "domino"

I don't mind seeing the wave but I hate participating as I always have a beer in my hand.

They won't have to worry much longer. They have about two months left in Arizona before they move to a more wave-friendly environment.

During the 8-3 win over Anaheim, there was a solid wave that must have had ten rotations. It was sublime.
