Ironically, Doug Ford is being bashed relentlessly on reddit for stirring the pot and spending on this ad. Meanwhile Trump and MAGA are incensed that...err heavy left wing nut Ronald Reagan's words were used. Some even going so far as attributing the ad to AI when it was a speech in 1987.

It's like some people are so partisan and politized they completely forget what they actually care about.

Frankly, I think Doug Ford running this ad in the US is pure genius. Ontario is largest hit by the Stellantis and GM actions, they are hardest hit by US tariffs. It's an ad to evoke reaction, and it's working.

Just because we have a zealous dictator down south hell bent on destroying the US and Canada economically raging at anything, doesn't mean we need to stay quiet.

Frick, if Blue Jays win the World Series and he probably goes in the same rage telling trade talks are off. He's unstable.

Ah, there it is. So it's not about the Ontario ad at all, or any other bulls*** excuse that Trump comes up with. As usual, they're just super annoyed that Canada is being tough in negotiations and still won't budge on supply management, dairy, etc...

Also, Canada being called un-serious by the most ridiculous clown show administration in American history is certainly a take.

After asking the White House what Canada could do to get talks back on track, my colleague Katie Simpson just received a statement from White House spokesperson Kush Desai, who says there has been no “constructive progress” in trade talks with Canada.

“The Trump administration has repeatedly sought to address Canada’s long-standing, unfair trade barriers,” said Desai in the statement.

Ontario’s ad campaign, which he calls a misleadingly edited version of Ronald Reagan’s radio address, “is the latest example of how Canadian officials would rather play games than engage with the administration,” the statement reads.

“As President Trump made clear on Truth Social, further talks are a futile effort if Canada can’t be serious,” Desai concludes.

Absolutely hilarious how some people are criticizing Carney for not making a deal when...this is what you deal with. I've never dealt with a pedophile in real life (that I know of), but if this is how they "negotiate", count me out.
