From seeing the damage this time around - this storm wasn't even close to as crazy as the 2020 storm.
But I suppose that a wall of siding that has a few holes in it needs to be completely replaced just as much as a wall of siding that no longer exists.

You answered your own question.
In 2020 the storm was really localized to that NE area just east of the Airport and west of the ring road.
This storm essentially hit the whole north of the city West to East.
So there are more claims. Siding needs relacing if it had 10 hits or if it has 110 hits.
Also, the costs arising out of the airport could be significant. Emergency costs, repair costs, damage to planes. Loss of Revenue Claims for Airport and potentially Westjet.
While the 2020 storm was much more violent it was in a smaller area. This was across a much bigger area, but still had significant damages to some are.
