In Sam Harris' most recent Making Sense podcast, Yuval Noah Harari notes that religious authorities have gotten on board with science during the pandemic. Synagogues and the Wailing Wall have been closed. Mosques have been shut down. The Pope is telling the faithful not to attend church services.
I know some people love scoring points in their tribal warfare, but there aren't really points to be scored here. The great majority of religious authorities and religious people are complying with science-based pandemic measures.
