Are the Star Wars movies even kid/family films anymore? I know my kids have only gone because I dragged them, and I have friends who say the same thing. My kids and their friends never play Star Wars, draw Star Wars characters, or talk about Star Wars. As far as I can see, Star Wars just isn't a thing for 8-12 year olds these days.
