Sorry, looks like it’s one-third were gang-related. Another third are spontaneous arguments. But the kind that make the news and that we think about when we use the term “mass shooting”, that of a lone gunman deliberately and indiscriminately mowing down a bunch of strangers, makes up only a fraction of mass shooting incidents in the U.S.
