This is actually great advice. I second it.
My daughter is 3 months old now--and the single best tip I've received is that infants can only be awake for 45 minutes to an hour and a half at the outside before they need to go back to sleep. And--this is important--put him to sleep when he FIRST gets drowsy. Wait too long, and you'll have a lot more fussiness and crying. Don'y be surprised if he sleeps 20 hours a day for the first while.
Also--take a childbirth class--if only to prepare you for the harrowing 30 hour marathon that is labour. But also--take a parenting class: not everything you need to know is intuitive.
