I think people are underestimating how much reach many of these sexual offenders had in the upper crusts of society.
Epstein, Prince Andrew, Jimmy Savile, P. Diddy, Mike Jeffries, Harvey Weinsten, etc.. it's a disgustingly long list of people.
These people's business dealings were closely tied with their personal and social lives. It would be standard procedure for them to wine and dine or, in the case of Epstein, invite potential business partners to his private properties.
The qualities that allowed these people to get away with their crimes for so long - charisma, manipulation, sociopathy, narcissism, etc... - are also qualities that make them good at navigating these social circles and acquiring great wealth.
Anyways, I don't think its as simple as separating things into business and non-business interactions.
