Great. But finish the analysis - what happened the next year?
Buium:
D+0: 43
D+1: 42
D+2: 37 PPG pace in NHL
Parekh:
D+0: 39
D+1: 46
Hutson:
D+0: 39
D+1: 40
D+2: 42
D+3: 66 pts in NHL
Hughes:
D+0: 21
D+1: 28
D+2: 64 PPG pace in NHL
Buium had the highest draft year NHLe of any of these players, but has also had the least progression, since his draft year, based on NHLe. I am not suggesting NHLe is the be all, end all, but if you're going to use it to compare one year, keep going. And the perspective changes substantially.
