I know he’s waiver exempt and would be the easy out at this point, but I see no reason to not give him what he’s rightfully earned.

You can always send him down before 10 games if he starts to struggle at the start.

This is a fantastic story, even better than Honzek making it last year.
His contract doesn't slide if he plays in the AHL, or is there another impact of the nine-game rule I'm unaware of?
