I don't hate politics in general, but I definitely hate
current politics at every level of government, locally and internationally.
There's zero nuance in politics anymore. Perspectives have to be extreme. Words get twisted. You can't seem to agree with one thing a politician does, if they've done something you don't agree with.
Politics shouldn't be a team sport but it is for too many people. Can't switch party allegiances or they'll look dumb or have wasted your time.
I try to keep up with what's going on politically, but I definitely hate it. A lot of time I try to ignore it because it's better for my sanity to focus on things I have control over and not get worked up over things I don't.
Other than voting, how do you engage in current politics if you have no desire to run for office, volunteer, argue online, etc.?
