Maybe that is because you are not Autistic./s
I liked the episode a lot, there is an interesting subtext about autism in this episode, but you have to be aware of Autistic culture. The vulcanized crew were arrogant, supremacists and ultimately ignorant of what it takes to be Vulcan let alone among humans. It shows the work Spock has put in to himself to live among humans in a some what healthy way. His exchange with Doug was very relatable.
Some folk on the spectrum can develope a superiority complex, like in this episode and it goes about as well as things did in this episode. Trying to pass emotional bias as logic when it's really a lack of personal awareness. I spend a lot of time working of the balance between nuance and bluntness and that makes Spock and this episode very relatable.
