There are probably better terms than “fashion sneaker”. You see them called lifestyle shoes in some stores that also sell athletic footwear but that seems kind of lame to me.

How is that his issue? I don’t think his issue was what the shoe type is called. It was a fashion objection (a good one since the shoes he referenced are extremely dorky).
