That's just not true. Hossa signed in Detroit at a discount over Edmonton expressly because he wanted a cup that year (Detroit was the team that beat the Pens). Chasing cups was Hossa's deal at the time. It's why he signed with Pittsburgh and Detroit and it's why he signed with Chicago. All of whom were a year or so from a cup. None of them were a team a few years away from a cup - which is the discussion with Andersson and Anaheim.
