I still think it has less to do with California and more to do with his opinion of the Kings and their ability to take a step forward instead of a step backward.
4 first round exits in a row, all of them losing to the Oilers, would be enough for me as a Flames fan to not want to jump on the Kings bandwagon.
Also, the idea that the Kings and their D group composition might not be an ideal landing place for Andersson as they have two young high profile RD in the system. At the same time, their LD depth is pretty bad... Mikey Anderson is their top LD? (IMO, LA should be trying for Byram instead of Andersson)
If Andersson wants to win a cup, I do not think LA is getting there in the next 8 years.
