Sure it is. Those players typically field offers from a handful of teams they have interest in and choose what's best for them. Does he even know what Vegas is willing to sign him for? He shouldn't at this point.
It's not overly common that a player takes any offer from just one team without having some sort of ties to the city.
Again, nobody said he should be willing to sign an extension somewhere he doesn't want to be. I'll bet if Vegas didn't want him there would be many places he'd be happy to play. Or do you think he'd not sign anywhere else and retire because well, the only place he wants to be is Vegas? Let's be real here.
He's playing this like a dick, especially with the media leaks.
