Put into a place, like Chicago, where the defence is a gong show, is not a situation Brodie is likely to thrive in.
Even after losing a step, I could see Brodie being effective in a complimentary role in a good team, but not leading a bad team.

Well hey, I fully admit that back when Brodie was with the Flames and Tanev was with the Canucks, I was of the opinion that Brodie was the better defenceman... how wrong I was...
