I don't think he would accept a trade even to Dallas, he gets to spend half the year there and can retire there afterward. He is very committed to being a Flame.

I know there’s a solid relationship there and I don’t doubt you’re wrong. I just wonder if at some point (I also doubt it would be this year) things will change.
A year from now, the Flames may be looking to make room for a Honzek, Basha, Gridin, Sunivev, etc. with Zary Coronato Farabee locked in (presumably Zary signs of course), there’s not enough room. In fact, I think Farabee is the in-house Coleman replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if the message to Farabee is, ‘watch Coleman. That’s your role.’ If the bottom falls out this upcoming year, I don’t think it would be a shock if Coleman’s name starts to hit the rumour mill.
All this to say, I think you’re closer to being right than wrong on this one but I think there will be a time when it will make sense for Voleman to be traded, it’s just not right now.
