Thumbs up

I watched the coverage of the meetings. First, CBC is top notch in its coverage. Has guestss from acros the spectrum and lets them talk. No shouting over each other or other bull####.

Second, I was left with an immense amount of pride at how the First Ministers (FM) conducted themselves. They were mature, open minded and willing to work with each other to find solutions and get things moving.

Third, super impressed by the various FM as they spoke. Kanew is pretty impressive for an ... NDP'er (What did you think I was going to say?) Although, he did kind of stomp on PM at the end and is obviously happy to hear his own voice.

Fourth, Doug Ford is pretty impressive. I heard 6 or 7 MOUs have been signed with other provinces to remove trade barriers. Very impressive that he is moving that fast and is being a leader in this area. I also think he is playing a role in moderating some of the other more wingnut leaders(cough/Smith/cough).

Fifth, I hate to say this, I mean I really, REALLY, hate to say this but SHE was actually really impressive in her moments at the mic. Laughing with Ford walking in when he said love was in the air, was a good moment. Her positions sounded reasonable and the mic drop moment of 9 trillion being left in the ground is a great argument. Anyone know if that estimate is true? Overall, she did a good job. Now I feel dirty.

And Carney was very impressive again. He continues to deliver on his promises and is moving things forward. Getting all of the FM to come together and help establish what is a National Project was a brilliant move and he seems to have pulled it off. He comes across as the man in control who will do what he says he will do. I kept trying to think of PP in this situation. It would be a trainwreck.

Time will tell and the FMs may not be as happy when the no answers start coming but, as CBC pounded on, but overall it really makes me optimistic.

This was the coverage I watched. As I said, I think the CBC did a good job: https://www.youtube.com/live/a8DiZWu...2rKMwx_tMrSTRy
