For me, 50/50, at no cost, is better than paying full price for a guy that is not going to be the #1 you need, and yet will inhibit the team's ability to get that #1.
The 2026 draft is what we should be focused on, and acquiring Rossi dampens our likelihood of top picks next year, without solving our problems.
It is an impatient, and ill-conceived strategy, IMO.

50/50 to get a player maybe, but not a second line center.
If it also comes down to your belief this team should tank, then you are going to be opposed to any move to improve the team's talent. Which is fine. But i see more than one path forward and think it's more interesting to discuss various options to acquire talented players.
